GISMO is excited to have NASA DEVELOP join us for a special presentation on their program. Our very own GISMO member, Raychell Velez participated in this program as a graduate student at Lehman College and will be the host and add to the conversation.
DEVELOP conducts feasibility projects that utilize NASA Earth observations in innovative and fresh applications that demonstrate to state and local governments how Earth observations can be utilized in their decision making processes to save resources such as money and time. Students from all over the country get to work on projects that cover agriculture, disasters, ecological forecasting, energy, health & air quality, transportation & infrastructure, urban development, and water resources.
If you are a student, come find out how you can apply to the program. If you are a local government or a community-based organization that might need a super-charged consultant like NASA, find out how to contact the outreach team. OR, just come because you will learn something…amazing!!
