We are fortunate to have Josh Delmonico, Director of the Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC: The Federal Geographic Data Committee — Federal Geographic Data Committee), agree to speak to the NYC Metro Area and the New York State GIS communities, focusing on the newly published ten year strategic plan for the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI). Among the key elements of the Strategic Plan is the inclusion of local, state, tribal nations, NGO, and private organizations as partners in the building of the NSDI. We expect this will significantly expand opportunities to access and use spatial data from many sources to address problems and develop innovative solutions.
The Webinar will be held on Monday, December 16th, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Josh’s presentation, which will include an overview of FGDC, the National Geospatial Advisory Committee (NGAC), and current national geospatial initiatives.
