Did you know…

… that Judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who recently passed last September, was an american icon who devoted her life to fight for equality and justice for all – especially women? Today, you can see and pay respect to Ruth’s childhood home in Midwood, Brooklyn.

… that Cafe Con Libros, was created in respect to the contentious history women of color have with the word “feminist?” It stands as a testament to radical thinking, female-leadership, and good coffee.

… that Fort Tryon Park’s Margaret Corbin Circle, was named after a hero of the American Revolution, Margaret Corbin who dressed as a man and joined her husband in the Battle of Fort Washington in Manhattan? A plaque at Fort Tryon Park praises her “as the first woman” to take a soldier’s part in the War for Liberty.”
